About The Position

Manhattan Specialty Care a reputable multi-specialty medical practice is looking for a Medical Billing Clerk to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate must have 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Clerk. This person should be able to work efficiently to help ensure that our billing department runs as smoothly as possible so that our patients' needs are adequately met. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a team player, great at multitasking, detailed oriented, and organized.

Requirements

• 1-2 Years of Medical billing or healthcare admin Experience
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Can organize and multi-task work responsibilities while completing deadlines
• Ability to learn new software

Nice To Haves

• ASC/Facility charge entry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry functions in our EMR system
• Review the information loaded for accuracy in order to process a complete claim
• Payment entry
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify insurance eligibility coverage
• Managing patient files
• Keep a record of all conversations in our EMR system
• Must be able to communicate with patients and physicians effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned
