Requirements

Must have solid experience as a Medical Biller
Knowledgeable in medical coding and experienced with healthcare billing systems
Must have experience working for US hospitals or Private Doctor Practice
Knowledgeable about insurance verification
Ability to speak and write English proficiently
Happy and Helpful by nature

Responsibilities

Bill primary and secondary claims.
New accounts are scrubbed (all data is verified and confirmed that it is entered correctly)
All claims are scrubbed to (ensure codes and # units are billed correctly)
Electronic claims are batched and sent through the clearinghouse
Rejected claims are checked, corrected and re-billed
Paper claims are printed, along with any additional documentation and mailed
Un-billable claims are sent back to FD with notes (regarding what is needed and that once received back, corrected claims are billed)
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for physical therapy services, including eligibility, copays, deductibles, and any pre-authorization requirements.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to obtain and clarify insurance information.
Ensure all insurance verification information is accurately documented in patient records and billing systems.
