About The Position

We are a busy chiropractic practice looking to add a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to our team. You'll work alongside our existing biller to support revenue cycle operations, with a primary focus on denials management, accounts receivable follow-up, patient collections, and account retention. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of medical billing experience required; chiropractic or physical therapy billing a plus
  • Familiarity with denials management and AR follow-up processes
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
  • Experience with billing/EMR software (e.g., ChiroTouch, Jane, AdvancedMD, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable communicating with patients and insurance representatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Responsibilities

  • Work denials and rejections from insurance carriers, identifying trends and resubmitting claims in a timely manner
  • Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement
  • Conduct patient collections with professionalism and empathy, including payment plan discussions
  • Support account retention efforts by resolving billing discrepancies and communicating clearly with patients and insurers
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
  • Collaborate with the existing biller and clinical staff to ensure clean claim submission
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in the billing/EMR system
  • Stay current with chiropractic billing codes (CPT, ICD-10) and payer-specific guidelines
