Medical Assistant - NHDC Internal Medicine
About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing healthcare provider. This position involves providing nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting, performing a variety of patient care duties as delegated by the physician within a multidisciplinary patient care team. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
Requirements
- One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
- Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.
- Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.
