Requirements

  • High School diploma required and a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with homeless individuals with histories of mental illness and/or substance abuse preferred.
  • Vaccination preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Reception of clients, notifying clients of appointments, retrieving clients from the waiting room for the RN or MD.
  • Assembling charts, filing in charts, uploading documents to charts, faxing documents, and other clerical functions.
  • Measuring vital signs, assisting an authorized practitioner, under the direct and personal supervision of said practitioner, to carry out a specific task, as a "second set of hands.
  • Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
  • Related duties as assigned.
