About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona, including residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services for individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is a non-profit provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, utilizing evidence-based models. The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for the care and coordination of assigned members and the completion of clinic tasks to ensure daily patient care and safe clinic flow. This includes managing daily assignments, monitoring and tracking appointments, following up on no-shows, processing referrals, and scheduling follow-up and specialty appointments. The MA is also responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service, ensuring patient/client data accuracy and security, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED required
Successful completion of a credentialed Medical Assistant program required
1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in the Health Care field where prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral health and medical situations required
Valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in the field of healthcare or science preferred
Certified Medical Assistant certification (current and in good standing within the State of Arizona) is preferred
