About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models. The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for the care and coordination of members assigned to their care team. In addition, MAs are responsible for the completion of clinic tasks to ensure the accomplishment of daily patient care and safe clinic flow. This position will be responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service. The Medical Assistant is responsible for making sure that all patient/client data is accurate and kept secure and will also ensure HIPAA compliance. Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • Successful completion of a credentialed Medical Assistant program required
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in the Health Care field where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral health and medical situations required
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in the field of healthcare or science preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification (current and in good standing within the State of Arizona) is preferred of this position

Responsibilities

  • Care and coordination of members assigned to their care team

  • Complete daily assignments
  • Monitor and track appointments
  • Follow up on no-shows
  • Process referrals
  • Schedule follow-up and specialty appointments
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Make sure that all patient/client data is accurate and kept secure
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance
