About The Position

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time position at their Largo office. The practice offers comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care, prioritizing patient care by providing both diagnosis and rehabilitative services. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant/Scribe who is comfortable with in-office procedures, medical terminology, and possesses strong typing skills for scribing. The ideal candidate is multitask-oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of incoming patients, a self-starter, and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy, and Audiology fields.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year HANDS ON Medical Assistant and Medical Scribe experience
• Current with certification or willing to participate and pass our in-house training course and state test
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members
• EMR experience
• Strong computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual is a a plus

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls
• Taking vitals
• Obtaining authorizations
• Scheduling diagnostic tests and surgery
• Preparing exam rooms
• Assisting the physician
• Calling in prescriptions
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
