The McMillan Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a personable and hard-working Medical Assistant! Position Summary & Highlights: This MA position will support a busy and established physician at the clinic. You will also work with other MAs and RNs to support other Providers in a great workplace culture. You will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA skills and will see a variety of patients. McMillan Family Medicine Clinic takes a collaborative, team-based approach to providing patients the best care possible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
  • MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school.
  • Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
  • 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Administer immunizations
  • Prep injections
  • Assist with minor procedures
  • Complete POC and other tests
  • Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox
