About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 915 South Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89145 As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as: You will perform clinical responsibilities such as discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. You will administer medication and vaccines and perform phlebotomy and diagnostic screening tests. You will sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms. You will document information into the electronic medical records system. You will collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. You will deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. You will prioritize requests and interpret and adapt procedures, processes, and techniques. You will have advanced skills, contribute to process improvement, deliver in-depth education, and provide advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Requirements

  • Certified or Registered Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
