Please click here: https://youtu.be/MrNWtn42prY About the Role As a Medical Assistant , you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Chart prep for upcoming appointments. i.e. review to ensure updated labs or imaging are in the chart. MIPS management Accompanies patients to exam room, takes vitals, document chief complaint, verify medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy. Download pump data, glucometers, and continuous glucose monitors (CGM.) Point of care testing including Hemoglobin A1c or random glucose check Cleaning exam rooms and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; restocking exam rooms. Attends work regularly and on time. Initiating CGM such as freestyle libre; Counseling patient on use of phone app/reader for the device Submitting online orders for DME to include sensors/transmitter for CGM or tubing for insulin pumps. charting; relaying instructions to patients/families listed on HIPAA; answering calls and providing pertinent information. Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned that may include sending/receiving patient orders; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; Fulfills the organization’s responsibilities as assigned including; respecting and promoting patient’s rights; responding appropriately to emergency situations; sharing concerns relating to patients and or staff with immediate supervisor. Fulfills clinical Medical Assisting responsibilities that vary according to state law, which may include medical/surgical asepsis; checking vital signs or measurements; physical examination preparations; drug administration through various routes including injections; prescription verifications with physician's orders; biohazard waste disposal and monitoring; Laboratory procedures including Occupations Safety and Health Administrations (OSHA) guidelines; quality control methods; CLIA-waived testing; specimen handling such as capillary blood. Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
  • Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
