About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate empathy with patients.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• Current certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations.
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and medical information accurately.
• Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform basic lab tests.
• Conduct EKGs, wound care, and other basic procedures.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR).
• Handle patient inquiries and provide instructions as directed by providers.
• Process insurance forms, referrals, and billing information.
• Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and other staff.
