Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
  • May be required to travel to satellite offices

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant I demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department.
  • Additionally, the MAI demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients.
  • Assists the MD/NP/PA/MA in performing procedures.
  • Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.
  • Support the Oncology Clinics and Infusion sites as needed.
  • Function between clinic and infusion on a daily assignment.
  • Support the nurses or the providers with lab draws, phlebotomies, vital signs, rooming, inbasket support, scheduling, patient registration, etc depending on your daily assignment.
