About The Position

At Mayo Clinic's Family Medicine department, Medical Assistants (MAs) play a vital role in patient care and clinic operations. We are seeking dedicated professionals eager to utilize their full range of clinical and administrative skills. Medical Assistants in our clinics operate with a degree of independence, while also consistently collaborating with Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) who oversee daily clinic operations. We hire MAs to operate at the full extent of their scope, maximizing their clinical and administrative skills within their designated roles. While we encourage continuous skill development, MAs are generally not cross-trained to work across different departments, allowing for focused expertise within their primary role. At Family Medicine, Medical Assistants are empowered to utilize their full range of skills, operating at the top of their scope to support patient care and clinical operations. We are deeply committed to fostering a supportive work environment and actively encourage the continuous professional development of our staff.
