We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Avon, Colorado-a town where hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, and living your best mountain life are part of the daily routine. As a Medical Assistant, you'll be the heartbeat of our care team, supporting providers and patients from newborns to seniors. You'll work independently, compassionately, and professionally to deliver top-tier care in a setting that feels more like a mountain retreat than a clinic.
Requirements
- 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred
- Skilled in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy
- Certified as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar
- BLS certification required
- Tech-savvy with EHR systems and basic computer skills
Responsibilities
- Taking vitals and documenting patient history
- Assisting with exams and minor procedures
- Performing venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy
- Monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates
- Managing patient communications and flow
- Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready
- Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, and Vail Health's values
