About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in various medical settings in an ambulatory surgery setting.

Requirements

Knowledgeable in basic life support techniques and emergency medicine protocols
Familiarity with anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Competence in handling medical-surgical cases, Ophthalmology knowledge
Strong understanding of EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management
Ability to perform vital sign checks accurately
Willing to learn and expand knowledge to various areas in the ASC

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient admissions to pre-op.
Perform intake assessments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
Transfer patients for discharge via wheelchair.
Document patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately
Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with patient education regarding health management
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
