About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient daily clinic operations, including patient intake, documentation, and in-clinic procedural assistance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Strong computer proficiency (EMR systems, Outlook, Excel)
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• 2–5 years of Medical Assistant experience
• Experience in primary care or specialty clinical settings
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Hands-on skills in phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and clinical assistance
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred

Responsibilities

• Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and medication updates
• Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures
• Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, vaccinations, and phlebotomy
• Support wound care, suture removal, splinting, and minor procedures
• Ensure smooth patient flow throughout clinic hours
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
• Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and follow-ups
• Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations
• Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records
• Handle phone calls, scheduling, and front-office coordination
• Maintain organized, complete, and up-to-date patient files
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and clinical equipment
• Follow OSHA standards and infection control protocols
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and safety compliance
