Requirements
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
- Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparing charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents
- Assisting with patient discharge and providing after-visit summaries
- Cleaning and restocking exam rooms to ensure readiness
- Performs various procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations with precision
- Completes controlled medication tasks following strict protocols
- Provides training to new Medical Assistants and contributes to special projects
- Handles complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision-making
- Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates.
- Accurately document in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
- Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
