Your responsibilities will include: Preparing charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents Assisting with patient discharge and providing after-visit summaries Cleaning and restocking exam rooms to ensure readiness Performs various procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations with precision Completes controlled medication tasks following strict protocols Provides training to new Medical Assistants and contributes to special projects Handles complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision-making Flexibility and teamwork are essential for taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support Praxis Health’s commitment to patient care Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates. Accurately document in Electronic Health Records (EHR). Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support. Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. Reliable and consistent attendance. General Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Collaborative, fast-paced healthcare setting focused on high-quality patient care Works closely with providers and care team to ensure efficient patient flow and positive patient experiences Punctuality and regular attendance are essential for team reliability OSHA Category This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.

Requirements

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
