Dependable Staffing Agency is looking to hire compassionate, competent, and dedicated MAs to fill the needs of our California community. These are immediate openings with both full-time and part-time shifts available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): The Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties, which include procedures as regulated by certification such as, but not limited to, the following: Administer basic life support in emergencies to patients/youth and staff; Use medical equipment safely; Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests; Administer eye/ear washes; Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally; Administer basic breathing treatments; Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices; Change simple dressing; Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques; Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation; Other duties as assigned per job description
Requirements
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience
- Current and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Possess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED)
- Be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively
- Valid MA Certificate/License
- Active CPR Card/First Aid
- CA State I.D.
- Social Security Card
- TB Test
- Covid vaccine card
- N95 Mask Fit Test
Responsibilities
