About The Position

Dependable Staffing Agency is looking to hire compassionate, competent, and dedicated MAs to fill the needs of our California community. These are immediate openings with both full-time and part-time shifts available. The Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties, which include procedures as regulated by certification such as, but not limited to, the following:

Requirements

Twelve (12) continuous months of experience
Current and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical Assistant
Possess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED)
Be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively
Valid MA Certificate/License
Active CPR Card/First Aid
CA State I.D.
Social Security Card
TB Test
Covid vaccine card
N95 Mask Fit Test

Responsibilities

Administer basic life support in emergencies to patients/youth and staff
Use medical equipment safely
Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests
Administer eye/ear washes
Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally
Administer basic breathing treatments
Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices
Change simple dressing
Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques
Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation
