Requirements

• Experience in Mohs Surgery is required for this position
• Experience with Mohs surgery is a requirement for this opportunity
• Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification -OR- Emergency Medical Technician certification; as well as a high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent thereof in a high-volume medical setting with the ability to read, write and interpret medical terminology
• Scheduling flexibility to be able work morning/afternoon/evening hours four to five days per week as needed
• Demonstrated ability and strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles
• Positive and energetic attitude which inspires other team members
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with an ability to remain focused under pressure
• Aptitude to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently or in a group.
• Technology proficiency is critical, including previous EMR/EHR experience as well as working knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Assisting all Doctors/Nurses/Reps/Coordinators/Managers in support of delivering expert medical care to our patients
• Direct interaction with patients (Greeting/Collecting intake info/Setting up Exam Rooms/Phone Calls, etc.)
• Other Day-to-day activities include fax correspondence, point-of-care testing, preparing/assisting for surgical procedures
• Deliver our mission of bringing state-of-the-art expertise and patient care to our clientele.
• Scribe/Document for physician while in the room.
