About The Position
Nestled into the most northern part of Vermont, North Country Hospital is a community-focused 25 bed critical access hospital, where we prioritize the well-being of our neighbors. Our patient's health is our priority, and we go above and beyond to care in every way possible. The Primary Care MA is responsible for preparing patients for their provider visit in a timely manner while following appropriate policies and workflows for each visit type. The MA works closely with the entire care team, communicating any outliers in the expected process. They may perform additional duties such as immunizations, suture removals, and prior authorizations once signed off on by clinical educator.
Requirements
- Maintains current MA certification or completion of NCH-approved program.
- BLS required.
- Ability to follow office procedures and policies required for specific visit types.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a healthcare clinic or outpatient setting a plus.
Responsibilities
- Pre-visit preparation paperwork and care gap identification.
- Point of care testing as directed by provider or RN.
- Restocking exam rooms.
