This position encompasses all aspects of both front and back office medical assisting. It includes, but is not limited to, check-in, check-out, answering telephone calls, verifying insurance benefits, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting copays, deductibles, and co-insurances, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, processing requests for medical records, bringing patients back, triaging, obtaining vitals and other pertinent information from patients, calling in prescriptions, assisting providers with exams and procedures, and performing diagnostic testing.
