About The Position

Southlake Orthopaedics has an opening for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant at our busy and very fast paced orthopaedic clinic. Job S ummary Assist in clinical procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator Exceptional customer service Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required

Requirements

• Medical assistant certification required
• The ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections required
• Knowledge of EHRs
• You must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test for employment at Southlake Orthopaedics.
• Any job offer will be contingent on the results of such background check and drug test.

Responsibilities
