Requirements
- Certification Required: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in primary care, family practice, rural health, or specialty care preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency with vital signs, injections, specimen processing, point ‑ of ‑ care testing, and EMR documentation.
- Compassion & Professionalism: Calm, empathetic patient support with a high standard of professionalism.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse care team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for clinic visits by reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Support providers during exams, procedures, and care planning discussions.
- Perform specimen collection, point ‑ of ‑ care testing, immunizations, and medication administration as directed.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Assist with care coordination, follow ‑ up scheduling, referrals, and patient education.
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support seamless patient care.
