Requirements

  • Certification Required: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in primary care, family practice, rural health, or specialty care preferred.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency with vital signs, injections, specimen processing, point ‑ of ‑ care testing, and EMR documentation.
  • Compassion & Professionalism: Calm, empathetic patient support with a high standard of professionalism.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse care team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for clinic visits by reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring comfort and privacy.
  • Support providers during exams, procedures, and care planning discussions.
  • Perform specimen collection, point ‑ of ‑ care testing, immunizations, and medication administration as directed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Assist with care coordination, follow ‑ up scheduling, referrals, and patient education.
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support seamless patient care.
