About The Position

This Medical Assistant position is with the growing BILH team at a new location in Londonderry, NH. Under the general supervision of the Practice Administrator, Director of Site Operations or assigned Nurse Manager/Site Manager, the Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of adult patients in various ambulatory medical specialties. The role involves collaborating with physicians, other healthcare providers, and ambulatory support staff to deliver patient care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • B.L.S. required.
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform duties within their scope of practice in multiple ambulatory medical specialties.
  • Vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Office or outpatient experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory settings.
  • Works in collaboration with the physician(s), or other health care provider(s), other ambulatory support staff within the department and with other disciplines to deliver patient care.
  • Performs all medical assistant functions in a medical setting for adult patients.
  • Responsible for telephone triage.
  • Renders patient care within the scope of their training, including obtaining vitals, height, weight, SPO2 and blood pressure on all patients and documenting appropriately into patient’s chart.
  • Assists physicians with minor procedures.
  • Prepares exam rooms and restocks supplies.
  • Coordinates patient care with other providers and/or facilities.
  • Performs duties within their scope of practice in multiple ambulatory medical specialties.
