About The Position

This Medical Assistant position is with the growing BILH team at a new location in Londonderry, NH. Under the general supervision of the Practice Administrator, Director of Site Operations or assigned Nurse Manager/Site Manager, the Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of adult patients in various ambulatory medical specialties. The role involves collaborating with physicians, other healthcare providers, and ambulatory support staff to deliver patient care. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
B.L.S. required.
Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform duties within their scope of practice in multiple ambulatory medical specialties.
Vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Medical Office or outpatient experience preferred.
Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory settings.
Works in collaboration with the physician(s), or other health care provider(s), other ambulatory support staff within the department and with other disciplines to deliver patient care.
Performs all medical assistant functions in a medical setting for adult patients.
Responsible for telephone triage.
Renders patient care within the scope of their training, including obtaining vitals, height, weight, SPO2 and blood pressure on all patients and documenting appropriately into patient’s chart.
Assists physicians with minor procedures.
Prepares exam rooms and restocks supplies.
Coordinates patient care with other providers and/or facilities.
Performs duties within their scope of practice in multiple ambulatory medical specialties.
