Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Weekends & holidays required on a rotating basis
- Seeking dependable, self-motivated team players
- This is a benefited, part time position (40 hours every 2 weeks) generally working weekdays from 4-8pm and weekends from 8am-4pm on varied days. Hours will vary as needed.
- Located at Scripps Clinic in Rancho Bernardo.
Nice To Haves
- One year MA experience in an outpatient setting
- Pediatric experience
- Experience with injections and vaccines
- Experience with PPD (tuberculin) placement
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic
- Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs
- Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, covid swabbing, and providing patient education
- Wide variety of acute care patients
