Requirements

  • Current California audiology and dispensing license or ability to obtain licensing.
  • Current California Audiologist license
  • Current or pending California Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • BLS for Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience as a licensed Audiologist
  • Manual dexterity to calibrate equipment.
  • Ability to relate to individuals of all ages.
  • Above-average communication, language, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in preparing written patient evaluations.
  • Excellent patient rapport
  • Thorough and organized. Detailed personality with excellent record keeping skills
  • Technical Capacity. (Preferred experience with Oticon, Phonak, Resound and Widex, if working with Cochlear implants Cochlear and AB, NOAH, and Epic EMR system).

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical diagnostic audiologic evaluations, including but not limited to: adult comprehensive audiologic evaluations, evaluate, fit, verify and maintain adult amplifications
  • There is a possibility of adding the following specialties (depending on location); pediatric audiologic evaluations, vestibular evaluations, cochlear implants, or bone anchored hearing devices.
  • Communicate with patient and family and provide counseling when appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with ENT/HNS specialists to deliver comprehensive interdepartmental care for patients with hearing-related conditions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and advancements in audiology, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and integrating best practices into clinical care.
  • Write evaluation reports and daily progress notes on a timely basis.
  • Maintain current knowledge in field of audiology. Prepare and present in-service education to staff and the community as needed.
