About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy cardiologist office in Brandon Florida. As a Medical Assistant/Triage Navigator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of highly experienced cardiologists and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
Previous experience working in a cardiology or internal medicine setting is highly desirable.
Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, if required

Responsibilities

Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain their medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
Educate patients on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
Assist with the coordination of patient care, including referrals to other healthcare providers and scheduling diagnostic tests.
Adhere to all medical protocols, privacy regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in professional development activities.
