The MA Trainer is responsible for designing, conducting, and overseeing training programs for Medical Assistants (MAs) to ensure they possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to deliver high-quality patient care. In addition to training responsibilities, the RN Trainer will perform direct patient care duties in an ambulatory care setting as needed: • Conduct patient triage, including obtaining vital signs, reviewing patient histories, and assessing presenting symptoms. • Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations per provider orders. • Perform point-of-care testing, wound care, EKGs, and other diagnostic support functions. • Assist providers during minor procedures and examinations. • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, chronic disease management, and preventative health.
