About The Position

As the Medical Assistant Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily clinic operations and ensuring top-notch patient care. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of medical assistants, coordinating workflows, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. You will mentor and train staff, implement best practices, and address any issues that arise to enhance team performance.Key duties involve monitoring patient flow, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.Your leadership will drive the team to deliver exceptional service and support to both patients and healthcare providers, contributing to the overall success of the clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certified as an CMA, RMA, CCMA required. Non-certified MAs must obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Association accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), orHeartsaverCPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to athree-monthgrace period after theexpirationdate.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the medical assistant team.
  • Train and mentor staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality patient care.
  • Coordinate and oversee clinic schedules tooptimizepatient flow.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates and address concernsas directed.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Support healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assistwithand resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate communication between medical staff and administrative personnel.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providingfeedbackand coaching.
  • Participate in hiring andonboarding ofnew medical assistants.
  • Ensureaccuratedocumentation in EHR systems.
  • Assistwith development ofstrategies to improve clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in medicalassisting.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to facility Values, Service Excellence and Standards of Excellence.
