About The Position

Qualified candidates must be able to perform various duties that may include: greeting patients, entering new patient information, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance coverage, answering telephones, scheduling appointments on the computer, collecting co-payments, assisting with procedures, cleaning and stocking rooms, refills, pre-certs, rooming patients, scheduling procedures, lab work, EHR charting, and various clinical duties as needed.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript
• Excellent people and telephone skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, and various insurance plans
• Excellent typing and math skills
• Ten-key by touch
• Enjoy a fast-paced work environment

Nice To Haves

• NextGen EHR
• Previous work with an interventional pain medicine office
• NextGen EPM/EMR experience is A+
