About The Position
Seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative operations within a healthcare setting. This interim role requires a team-oriented professional committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while managing clinical and front-office responsibilities efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems required
Nice To Haves
- 2–3 years of overall experience preferred
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations
- Obtain and document vital signs accurately
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Provide general clinical assistance as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Support front-desk operations as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff
- Communicate effectively with patients to support education and outreach initiatives
- Contribute positively to a fast-paced, patient-focused healthcare environment
