Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Prior MA experience.
• Must be trained to give vaccinations and injections.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for examination, including rooming, obtaining vital signs, and documenting necessary information.
• Administering vaccines and other therapeutic injections as directed by the provider.
• Providing direct daily clinical assistance to the provider, including performing point-of-service (POS) testing and assisting with procedures.
• Performing preliminary patient assessment and prioritizing care needs (triage).
