About The Position

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join our team in Skokie, IL. This position is available for both full-time and part-time candidates. The role involves various administrative and clinical tasks to support the physician practice and ensure a smooth patient experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and some travel may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required
• One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to the exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height, and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
