While LowT Center/SynergenX and HerKare are an established leader in HRT and growing healthcare organization, our Franklin, Tennessee HerKare clinic is brand new, offering an exciting opportunity to help build a clinic Medical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator who excels in both clinical care and front office operations, and who is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience. Position Summary The MA / Patient Services Coordinator is a dual-role position serving as the first point of contact for patients while also supporting clinical services under the direction of licensed providers. This role blends patient-facing customer service, clinical skills, and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality care. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys variety, accountability, and direct impact in a women’s health setting. Schedule Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (2–4 Saturdays per month) Employees are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to shift start.

Requirements

  • 6 months of working experience as a Back office medical assistant or completed externship in leiu of Medical Assistant certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong patient service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable discussing insurance, billing, and payment options with patients
  • Proficient with electronic health records and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinic

  • Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
  • Explain insurance benefits, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs clearly and compassionately
  • Collect and process patient payments accurately
  • Answer phones, manage messages, and respond to patient communications
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient and insurance information in the EHR
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and waiting area
  • Support scheduling, administrative tasks, and clinic flow
  • Complete daily cash reconciliation and bank deposits
  • Obtain and document vital signs for all patients
  • Perform phlebotomy and injections independently
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures as needed
  • Operate EKG and point-of-care testing equipment per protocol
  • Prepare lab requisitions and patient plans in advance
  • Support efficient patient flow, rooming patients within 10–15 minutes
  • Clean, stock, and inventory exam rooms daily
  • Complete all required clinical and operational logs
  • Handle and process patient specimens according to lab protocols
  • Perform quality control documentation and instrument maintenance
  • Identify and report any issues affecting test accuracy
