About The Position

Premier Neurosurgery is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who also excels in patient coordination and service to join their growing specialty practice. As the practice evolves toward a high-touch, patient-centered model, they are looking for a professional, detail-oriented individual who brings confidence, organization, and exceptional care to every patient interaction. This role is ideal for a seasoned Medical Assistant who enjoys both clinical responsibilities and guiding patients through their care journey. The team is committed to delivering a calm, organized, and supportive experience for every patient.

Requirements

  • Extensive Medical Assistant experience (typically 5+ years)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional and service-oriented in all patient interactions
  • Comfortable working in a high-touch, patient-centered care environment
  • Ability to anticipate needs and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty practice experience strongly preferred (neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, spine, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients before and after visits
  • Coordinate appointments, imaging, and specialty referrals
  • Guide patients through complex care plans with clarity and responsiveness
  • Communicate with hospitals, imaging centers, and referring providers
  • Ensure a seamless and organized patient experience from first contact through follow-up
  • Patient registration and check-out
  • Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
  • Initiating referrals and entering orders
  • Support authorization coordination and follow-up
  • Accurate and timely EMR documentation
  • Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
