This position is for a part-time Medical Assistant or LPN in Surgical Specialties, with a varying schedule Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The role involves preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, documenting health information, and monitoring clinical integration/quality improvement measures. Responsibilities also include performing laboratory procedures, assisting physicians/Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) with various medical procedures, and administering routine medications under orders or approved protocols. The individual will follow through with procedure/test requests, appointments, and referrals, and communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team to ensure smooth clinic flow. The role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care, understanding principles of growth and development, and assessing patient status to meet age-specific needs according to departmental policies.
