About The Position

- The Medical Assistant at Wildwood Family Clinic is responsible for supporting healthcare professionals by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality patient care and enhancing the patient experience through excellent service and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Proven track record of effectively assisting healthcare providers with patient care.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Proficient in handling administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing insurance forms.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in patient documentation and billing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations in a healthcare setting.
  • Must be a CMA, CCMA, RMA or state licensed LPN

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and information such as test results in medical records.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests on the premises and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Administer medications as directed by a physician.
  • Educate patients about medication, dietary restrictions, and physician's instructions.
  • Provide patients with information and guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
