About The Position
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support an outpatient oncology clinic. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, clinical tasks, and administrative duties in a fast-paced cancer care environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Support oncology patient care in an outpatient setting
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling as needed
- Provide compassionate care to oncology patients and families
- Float to other units or clinics as required
