Position Summary: A Medical Assistant who excels in this role: Assists with performing patient assessments and treatment under the direction of the physician or nurse. Provides general patient care in the physician's office setting and completes tasks as directed by the physician or office manager to ensure seamless daily operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Within six months of hire, the MA certification must be obtained.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers injections, vaccines, and medications as instructed by the physician.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
  • Documents patient care given.
