Key duties include assisting with and monitoring open encounters, Tracers (JACHO preparedness), and time review, as well as covering call-ins when needed. It would be ideal for the candidate to be proficient with front desk check-in and back-office/rooming workflows. The schedule for this role is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Job Summary: Administers prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and maintains related medical records.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
  • Wisconsin ONLY - High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience, and graduate from medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification
  • Three years' experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

  • Presents medication to patient and observes ingestion or administers medication using specified procedures.
  • Takes vital signs or observes patient to detect response to medication, and reports reactions.
  • Restocks medication inventories.
  • May provide direct patient care.
  • Ensures resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
