Primary Responsibilities/Requirements: Assist various orthopedic physicians under the direction of Clinical Director Provide coverage for clinical teams as needed Perform general nursing duties Perform suture/staple removal Perform wound care/dressing changes Drawing up meds; calling in medications Application of sterile fields Application and removal of casts and splints Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments Schedule and precert MRI’S, lab work, procedures, and surgeries Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc. Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician Assist with verifying pre-op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed Assist other team members as needed Fill out disability, return-to-work, and insurance forms Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires Friendly and Professional patient communication when answering and returning patient phone calls, providing various forms of patient education and handouts, escorting patients to and from exam rooms, appointment/surgery reminder calls, responding to and chart patient messages and communicating test results to patients with direction from physician Team POC for Administration and physician contact Manage physician clinic and delegation of clinical work following direction of physician Collaborate with manager/director on team member evaluations and discipline Assist manager/director and HR in filing open positions Manage team personnel issues, escalating to manager/director and HR when appropriate Participate in and support other special projects as needed Review, correct, and approve timecards Manage team staffing and approve time off requests Review and approve Certify/Emburse Collaborate with other Clinical Team Leads Must also possess: HS Diploma/GED required MA or ROT certified Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent, self-starting and highly motivated Strong patient care and interpersonal skills Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred Physical Demands: Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment Constant standing and walking Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
