About The Position

ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant II for our Ob/Gyn Women's Health practice at Glasgow in Newark, DE. This practice is located at 2600 Glasgow Ave # 120, Newark, DE 19702. ChristianaCare Women’s Health at Glasgow provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care for women at every stage of life. Our team delivers personalized care using evidence‑based best practices and advanced technology in a supportive, collaborative environment. Services include routine exams, preventive screenings, Pap smears, and STI screening and treatment, with a strong focus on safety, education, and whole‑person care. Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30p No weekends or holidays

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program and hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
  • Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant, is required, three years’ is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant II ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Assists providers during virtual and in-person appointments
  • Acts as a leader and mentor to office staff to promote effective workflow and team collaboration.
