About The Position

ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant I for our Ob/Gyn Women's Health practice at our Concord Health Center in Chadds Ford, PA. This practice is located at 161 Wilmington West Chester Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Women’s Health at Concord provides comprehensive gynecologic and preventive care for patients across all life stages. Services include annual well‑woman exams, Pap smears and breast exams, STI/STD screening and treatment, menopausal care, and basic adolescent gynecology. Our team is dedicated to early detection, patient education, and compassionate, expert care that supports lifelong women’s health. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment.
  • They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
