About The Position

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements: Assist various orthopedic physicians under the direction of Clinical Director Perform phlebotomy services for patients Submit all laboratory specimens following proper guidelines Perform EKG’s Provide coverage for clinical teams as needed Perform general nursing duties Perform suture/staple removal Perform wound care/dressing changes Drawing up meds; calling in medications Application of sterile fields X-ray duties as needed Application and removal of casts and splints Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments Schedule and precert MRI’S, lab work, procedures, and surgeries Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc. Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician Assist with verifying pre-op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed Assist other team members as needed Fill out disability, return-to-work, and insurance forms Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires Friendly and Professional patient communication Answering and returning patient phone calls Provide various forms of patient education and handouts Escorting patients to and from exam rooms Appointment/surgery reminder calls Respond to and chart patient messages Communicate test results to patients with direction from physician Must Also Posses: Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred but willing to train EKG experience is a plus Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent, self-starting and highly motivated Strong patient care and interpersonal skills Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history Physical Demands: Must be able to use arms, hands and fingers skillfully Constant standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes To apply please visit: https://www.visittoc.com/about-us/careers/

Requirements

  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred but willing to train
  • EKG experience is a plus
  • Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred
