About The Position

As a Medical Assistant in our Family Practice department at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will assist providers with both clinical and administrative tasks, helping ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required (available upon hire).
• Willingness to learn medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EMR workflows.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations, and accurately record vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and medical procedures.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and medication refills.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls and messages to ensure accurate communication.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures and communicate results or follow-up instructions to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of exam rooms and medical equipment.
• Provide patient education and coaching on treatment plans, medications, and wellness initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
