Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization supporting patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care through high-performing teams. The Mass General Brigham Medical Group delivers high-quality, low-cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care, bringing healthcare closer to patients. Wentworth Health Partners, an affiliate of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, provides state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for disorders of the ears, nose, and throat, and specialized diagnosis and treatment for upper respiratory allergies in their Head and Neck Specialty Group, located at 361 High Street in Somersworth, NH. This full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant position is for the Head and Neck Specialty team, working Monday through Friday from either 8:00am to 5:00pm (with an hour lunch break) or 8:30am to 5:00pm (with a 30-minute lunch break). Medical Assistants work autonomously while functioning as part of a collaborative team, supporting nurses and providers. This MA will see an average of 19-30 patients per day and will rotate supporting different providers to foster collaboration, skill development, and clinical knowledge expansion. While employees are typically assigned to specific practices, floating to other departments within the WHP system may be required during staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage. The role involves assisting healthcare teams with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and direct patient interaction to ensure comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
