JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Summary of the Job : Serves as an integral part of the post-acute care strategy to effectively reduce hospital admissions/readmissions. Provide medical assistance to physicians, nurses and patients in a professional manner. The medical assistant shall perform duties assigned by the nurse and physician that facilitate appropriate patient care and clinical area functions.
Requirements
- High School diploma and accredited Medical Assistant program diploma, or higher.
- Strong medical terminology skills
- Two years M.A. experience in a clinical setting
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
